RABBI YITZCHOK WOLF, DEAN LUBAVITCH HEBREW DAY SCHOOL, CHICAGO

"Words alone do not suffice for the appreciation and gratitude I have for you for the masterful piece of work you put together in publishing Chumash Shemos with the Rebbe's commentary. I have given the Chumash to over 100 of our Balei Batim and the response has been overwhelming. I urge all Shluchim to consider doing the same with their Balei Batim. They will treasure the gift, and more importantly, they will study the Rebbe's teachings thus further strengthening their bond with the Rebbe."

YOSSEL KANOFSKY, DIRECTOR RONALD S. LAUDER FOUNDATION, POLAND

We have many different versions of the Chumash (5 Books of Moses or Torah) at our house. They are all gathering dust since we purchased the Gutnick Edition! This Chumash is FANTASTIC and explicates all of the complex and confusing parts of the Torah for the average layperson as well as for the experienced Torah scholar. It clearly does not push one sect of Judaism over any other. (Frankly, I found the negative comment about this book promoting Jewish "cults" from a previous reviewer to be absurd.) The Hebrew-English translation is excellent and the commentaries from the greatest Torah scholars of the ages are extremely helpful in interpreting the text. No serious Torah student should be without this extremely useful guide!

YAEL TZIVIA, AMAZON.COM REVIEWER

"Over the years I have used a variety of Chumashim – including the Hertz Pentateuch, the Stone Edition, the Living Torah – but I have to admit that this is the first time that I have been really excited by a Chumash."

H. ABRAMSON, ARIZONA

"I just purchased and have started reading your new work. It is an excellent addition to any English Jewish Library, and offers the valuable opportunity to study Chumash and the teachings of the Rebbe simultaneously, even when time is limited."

"I purchased the Shemos volume from Eichlers and find it is everything I have been waiting for in a Chumash."

RICK BLUM PH.D., LICENSED PSYCHOLOGIST, CONNECTICUT

"I am a college student at the University of Maryland. Just wanted to let everyone who has worked on this Chumash know that I have never been more impressed, and that everyone who sees me with it is hooked after reading only a few pages."

AARON, MARYLAND

REVIEW OF BIBLICAL LITERATURE

The well-researched and splendidly presented edition hits on many marks .... Above all, the text is very readable...The translation proves to be very useful, easy, and illuminating. Still, the real treat here is the second fresh aspect of this edition: the commentary by the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson....For those who enjoy a touch of mysticism, and certainly for those whose whole essence includes it, there is no one better to deliver it than the Rebbe, a veritable heavyweight and thoughtful Jewish philosopher.
